But I don't recall any of the Reapers in the came game I participated in Erasing a player directly. Don't get me wrong. The Game was dangerous, and not every Player made it out alive. But deaths-- ah, Erasures, I guess-- were always at the hand of the hands of Noise or dangerous dungeon traps.
Reapers were there as guides and support. Like NPCs, almost.
