[Week 6, Saturday: Vanitas]

[when everyone scatters after the trial, Akira eventually seeks out Vanitas himself. whenever he finds him, he leans his shoulder against the graffiti'd up wall, head tilted, expression neutral]

Do things make a little more sense, now?

[with Undine. with Chuuya]

[weirdly enough. . . ? that's kind of refreshing to hear]

It was her idea to protect me. Not mine.

[of course. Akira never would've asked that of Undine himself. she just insisted, and he agreed. his gaze flickers up, towards the ceiling, as he kicks at the ground idly]

And you shouldn't.

[lightdecrement]

I know. She does have a spine after all.

[ He looks a little proud of that for a moment. ]

Still putting her on probation after this.

[ Stretching his arms, and then folding them behind his head in a gesture that isn't him. It's a lot more relaxed and unguarded compared to his usual stance. ]

[purrtagonist]

She's always had a spine. Don't underestimate her.

[truthfully, if Undine hadn't been capable of killing Chuuya, Akira was more than prepared to do that himself. but. . . after seven weeks, he knows how strong Undine is]

[Akira tilts his head, noting that casual stance, but not commenting]

You can try, but somehow I doubt she'll let you.

[lightdecrement]

Yeah, I know.

[ It took her a while to show it or put her foot down and tell Vanitas to knock his shit off. ]

I might have an idea.

[ MAYBE. He has buttons he can press, but he probably won't use them on her. ]

Is that how you got close? At the little club house?

[purrtagonist]

"Little club house?"

[that's one way to put it, but the description causes Akira to give a derisive snort]

Yes, you could say that. We've been partners and teammates since the very beginning.

[lightdecrement]

[ Don't you have your own partner?

Oh yeah that's right. ]

I didn't say I'll share.

[ Is he joking? Who even knows. There is a tug at the corner of his mouth though if that's any indication. ]

[purrtagonist]

[and Akira's mouth twitches as well, to match Vanitas's own barely-there smile. even if Vanitas isn't joking, Akira's totally taking it as one]

Isn't she the one who gets to determine that?

[lightdecrement]

It's on the profiles.

[ So too bad for both of them. He is reaching over to lightly shove at him. ]

Just a little longer.

[purrtagonist]

[just. rolls his eyes, but. he's taking all of this in good humor]

One more day.

Are you ready for tomorrow?

[lightdecrement]

[ Just wait. He might wind up putting his name or something on her. ]

Is anyone?

[ Checking him over. ]
