[he's actually thinking that wouldn't it be nice if he dies protecting Kurusu and then maybe Kurusu will wake the fuck up and kill someone so he can get out of here, with the added bonus of how much easier it would be if Akechi never had to go home and face the things he's done and watch Kurusu like and trust EVERYONE ELSE MORE THAN HIM!!!11 but. y'know. [and honestly Akechi would probably be delighted to hear how close he actually is to waking the fuck up and killing someone for that sweet, sweet "everyone comes back to life" motive. it becomes more and more tempting each day, the longer they're here, the more bodies hit the ground]
