[Bandages needing to be changed, you say....That's a good idea, because Ichigo's starting to move his fingers towards his face, stopping just short of the bandages covering his left eye before dropping his hand...and then repeating the process over and over, looking obviously uncomfortable. Some of the bandage itself looks a little stained from blood, too.]

...I don't - want to bug you, but...

The bandage over your eye needs to be changed. You may "bug" me after that.

It is not a bother to do something productive for a change.

[ He's got to wash his hands and prepare a replacement dressing before he starts messing with what's already on Ichigo's face, though, so let's get started on that. ]

[Right. Ichigo, for what it's worth, also washes his hands, ready to give assistance to Ulaz as he's wrapping his wounds.]

Do you want me to unwrap it while you get the new bandages ready?

Go ahead.

[ He begins his work in his usual silence, but then, suddenly, he asks a question. ]

Did you often assist your father with his work?

[ That wouldn't be typical in Galra culture, but he already understands that human doctors and Galra doctors are... pretty different. ]

[Ichigo gingerly unwraps his bandages, wincing a little when removing it due to blood sticking to the inside - but when it's done, the wound that's left under there actually looks...competently stitched, despite it most likely being done by the raccoons. They even bothered to carefully stitch his eyelid back together, even if it's unnaturally flat.

At the very least, it all looks uninfected, if painful.]

Ah...actually, I mostly got told to stay out of the way with patients. Apparently, my bedside manner's not the greatest.

[ At least they don't have to worry about anything getting in the socket. Really, the stitching doesn't surprise Ulaz too much. He already figures there has to be something or someone pulling the strings behind the raccoons. Somebody has to have built them, at the very least, to say nothing of the various impossible feats they've performed. He's certainly not going to complain about them making his job a little easier here. ]

...Bedside manner...?

[ He understands what the words mean independently, but they don't quite make sense together in this context???

I always forgot things or spoke too harshly to them, so dad basically banned me from interacting with them.

I understand why it is important to remember things, but I do not understand what your manner of speaking has to do with anything.

[Mostly because he doesn't want to get into culture and how humans normally don't take kindly to being told to keep it down when they're loudly demanding painkillers from a wound they gave themselves while drunk.
