[ Ulaz changes the bandages as he speaks. ]

The Galra Empire has been conquering and expanding across the universe for thousands of years. There is little outside its reach. And in its wake, it has left untold devastation and corruption. Open rebellion is impossible against the Empire's power. That is why my order works in the shadows. We are also Galra, and so we may infiltrate the Empire's ranks freely, gathering information until such a time as overthrowing Zarkon is possible.

I worked undercover as a medical officer for many years, attaining a privileged position in the main fleet. The main fleet rarely sees combat, and so most of my time there was spent assisting the druids with their experiments or tending to the few gladiators skilled enough to survive Zarkon's arena. That is where I learned how to treat a human's wounds.

No. Earth's solar system is outside the Empire's edge. There has only ever been one human in the arena. An exploratory vessel from Earth crossed paths with one of our cruisers. Most of the crew was sent to work camps, but one man was sent to fight in the arena instead. He was not expected to live. Few prisoners sent to the arena do, and humans are small and fragile. And yet he won. The entire time he was forced to fight in the arena, he did not lose a single battle.
