[ He can find Yoshi! His shoulders are curled up close and shaking. It actually feels like his arm and head are moving; dragging the arm across his face before he replies: ]

[slides an arm around Yoshi's shoulder, pulling him in for a hug]

That's how you can help us. You said it yourself, right? It doesn't matter who wins. It matters who survives.

There's so much more going on here than what meets the eye. We can't discover all of those mysteries ourselves.

[ It's easy enough to pull him over, and he curls into it. Yeah, there's definitely tears there - now Akira will feel them.

There's also something of a pause before he slowly types out a reply. ]

it wasn't like this before

i used to be happy as long as i could do anything for anyone

but now there's people i get scared for, worried for, sad for...

It hurts because you care. And that kind of hurt is natural and normal, a part of any relationship-- friendship or otherwise.

It sucks. But it's not a bad thing. What you need to do is take that hurt and turn it into something productive.
