[ The idea is very odd to him; Haggar and her druids certainly aren't well-liked among normal Galra, but the power they wield is so great that it'd be unthinkable to raise a hand against them directly. ]

It was less about fearing them and more about fearing their reaction -- at least that was how I thought many decades ago. I left aside my first love because I did not want to sacrifice my magical abilities to be with him, as that would have been the only way to live among muggles without revealing the existence of magic.

[Her mother had left magic aside for the sake of her love, and although once he found out she was a witch they continued together, she may not have been entirely happy about that. This left a very strong impression onf McGonagall]
